Braden Business Systems to Speak at ITEX2017

[INDIANAPOLIS, IN] – Braden Business Systems’ Erik Braden has been selected to be a panelist during this year’s Imaging & Technology Education Exposition, ITEX2017. During the show in Las Vegas this April 18-20, Braden will share his experience as an office equipment dealer that has evolved to offer Managed IT solutions in the seminar “Growing Your Business Profitably with Managed IT Services – Acquire, Build or Partner.”

ITEX is the only independent national conference and expo where office technology dealers, vendors, solution providers, resellers, distributors, and managed services providers can share perspectives and discuss how to evolve in the B2B office imaging and information industry. One trend the show’s organizers couldn’t ignore is that many imaging dealers today have either expanded their offerings to include Managed IT services or are looking to do so, in an effort to remain competitive as businesses begin to move beyond traditional office technology.

During the tradeshow, Erik and fellow panel members Greg VanDeWalker of Collabrance, a subsidy of Great America, and Paul Dippell of Service Leadership, Inc. will share their insight on Managed IT services from a dealer’s perspective. They will share the latest on what the technology industry looks like today, how you can best grow your business profitably with Managed IT Services, and which path to incorporating Managed IT makes the most sense for your particular dealership.

“Transitioning into Managed IT is no easy task for any traditional office equipment dealer; just ask some honest ones who have done it,” Braden explained. “After extensive research and talking with those who had done it organically and those who had acquired, I ended up leaning towards acquiring. I wanted to jump start deep into the industry/market and had gotten comfortable enough to go all in. An acquisition, in my opinion, has the opportunity to grant you a leap frog that could save years vs. doing it organically. It certainly has its own challenges of course. Lastly, my background and experience is in M&A, so naturally I felt more comfortable taking us that route.”

“As a panelist, Erik is uniquely qualified to educate office technology dealers about the value adding Managed IT services can bring to their business—and how to best go about doing so—because he’s been there, done that,” added Marc Spring, president of the ITEX tradeshow. “Sharing his experience successfully acquiring and integrating IT services into Braden Business Systems’ traditional dealer offerings will prove to be insightful to other dealers looking to do the same.”

The panel will take place at 9 a.m. on April 19th in the education breakout area in the back of the ITEX showroom floor at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. For tickets, visit www.itexshow.com.
