About Braden Smith

Braden Smith attended Westfield High School, where he led the basketball team to its first sectional championship and was named Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2022. At Purdue, Smith quickly became a key player. In his freshman year, he started all 35 games, averaging 9.7 points, 4.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. His sophomore season saw him break Purdue’s single-season assist record with 208 assists. By his junior year, he was averaging 15.8 points, 8.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game, earning him the Big Ten Player of the Year award and the Bob Cousy Award as the nation’s top point guard.
